Why Inland Detox for Tricare Approved Benzodiazepine Detox?

Benzodiazepines are a class of prescription drugs used to treat anxiety and alcohol withdrawals. Many times, people that are prescribed benzos are unaware of their highly addictive nature. Over time, the effects of benzos decrease and many clients that use them daily may increase their dosage to experience similar effects. What’s troublesome are the dangers of stopping the use of benzo’s, especially quitting cold-turkey with is not advisable.

As a Tricare approved, in-network provider of care, Inland Detox helps our clients safely taper off of benzodiazepines with prescription medication designed to decrease withdrawal symptoms as much as possible. We maintain a number of licenses for the detox level of care, residential treatment, dual-diagnosis treatment and an Incidental Medical Services license. This is important to the clients we serve for a number of reasons. It means once the detox program is successfully completed, our clients can smoothly transition to residential treatment that can last 30, 60 or 90 days in length. Our dual diagnosis license means we are able to treat underlying, co-occurring mental health issues effectively like anxiety, depression and PTSD and the Incidental Medical Services license means our practitioners come to our facility to practice medicine related to substance abuse disorders so that our client’s won’t need to be transported to and from third party providers of care to get the comprehensive treatment they need and deserve.

Our ability to treat and the licenses we hold are not the only things that make us a great program, it’s our location and our Treatment Team that truly make Inland Detox the best choice for both the detox and residential levels of care. We are located in Temecula, CA on 2.5 acre and the residential environment is stunning. There’s a 2nd home on the property where some treatment and some of our groups are conducted, a pool and recreational facilities. Our Treatment Team is led by a Medical Director, Board Certified in Psychiatry with over 28 years of experience and our Clinical Director has helped active duty military, reservists, their spouses and dependents for years.

Program Goals

The goals of the benzodiazepine detox program are twofold. The first goal is to safely help our clients overcome withdrawal symptoms using taper medications prescribed by our Medical Director. Over the span of 7-10 days, our Medical Director will prescribe comfort medication to ease withdrawals safely. Once our clients finish their taper, the second goal is to help our client’s transition to residential care. Thankfully, Inland Detox is also approved by Tricare for residential treatment so our clients that successfully complete the benzo detox program are able to continue with residential care at Inland for 30, 60 or 90 days.
