Why Inland Detox for Tricare Approved Dual-Diagnosis Detox?

Choosing the right detox program when you are trying to overcome the grip of addiction while also suffering from co-occurring mental health disorders is vital. Mental health issues underlie many addictions and making sure that both substance abuse and existing problems like depression, anxiety or PTSD are taken in to account while in detox can be the difference between success in a detox program and failure, followed by relapse.

Inland Detox is not only a Tricare approved, in-network provider of care, we are also licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services for dual-diagnosis care, detox, residential treatment and for Incidental Medical Services. This means we are able to address existing mental health issues as well as help the same clients get through the pain of withdrawals from alcohol, opiates or benzodiazepines safely all why taking in to consideration the mental health issues our client’s need help with.

There are a wide variety of detox programs in the State of California and not all are alike. Some are abstinence based. Others address withdrawals medically but ask you to see a doctor off-site to address cravings and withdrawals while others that have medical doctors on staff may not be Board Certified in Psychiatry. At Inland Detox, we believe that addressing withdrawals and cravings is something that should be done by prescribing the appropriate taper medications to reduce the pain of withdrawals and that when clients present with existing mental health problems, they are taken in to account at the time of admission and a proper treatment plan, both medically and clinically, is devised to give our clients that best chance of completing a detox program successfully.

The reasons people choose Inland Detox for an alcohol or drug detox program when they have existing mental health considerations are numerous. We are licensed for dual-diagnosis care and have a Board Certified Psychiatrist on staff to address the co-occurring mental health issues our clients present with. The same Medical Director also prescribes the taper medications to address our client’s withdrawals to insure that none of the medications prescribed for withdrawals or for mental health issues are contraindicated. We maintain an Incidental Medical Services license as well, so our clients do not have to go to a third-party provider of care off-site; all practitioners come to our facility.

Our Location

Another reason people choose Inland for Dual-Diagnosis detox and residential treatment is because of our location. We’ve found that people prefer to detox and go through long-term rehab in a residential location as opposed to a hospital setting or worse, in a commercial environment that may feel like a psychiatric unit. Our executive level facility has a maximum of 6 clients at any given time. We are on 2.5 acres with incredible views of the Temecula Valley. We offer single and double occupancy rooms with a pool, a chef to prepare meals and a 2nd home on the property where some of our therapy and groups take place. We are also just a short drive from San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles and Orange County.

Our Treatment Team

Our Treatment Team is another reason why people choose Inland Detox for dual diagnosis care, detox and residential care. Our Medical Director maintains over 25 years of experience in the field as a Board Certified Psychiatrist. Our Clinical Director has 20+ years in the field treating both civilians and retired and active duty service members and their families. Our Therapist has experience treating depression, anxiety, PTSD and a wide variety of other mental health issues and we also maintain a Nursing Manager and a House Manager on-call 24 hours a day.

Our Treatment Team is designed to make the transition from detox to a residential program seamless and simple. Many of the clients that come to Inland Detox choose to stay for an additional 30, 60 or 90 days because they can address both their mental health and their addiction problems.

Program Goals

There are 2 significant goals of the dual-diagnosis detox program at Inland Detox. First, we want to help our clients make sure they detox from drugs and alcohol safely with taper medications and comfort medications prescribed by a Doctor that takes in to account our clients existing mental health concerns. Our detox program typically lasts 7 days depending on the length of use and amounts our clients use. Second, we want to help our client’s transition to a residential program or an intensive outpatient program to continue the care they need. We’ve noticed that clients that have long-term success staying sober from substances of abuse do not limit themselves to detox alone, this is especially true of those in need of a dual-diagnosis detox program.

What to Bring

Please bring a week’s worth of clothes and a light jacket. Temecula, CA is very hot in the Summer and mild in the Winter. Many of our clients stay with us after detox for our residential program that can last 30, 60 or 90 days but a week’s worth of clothing should be fine as we have laundry facilities on-site. Please also bring your personal grooming supplies and prescription medications you are currently taking. Please note our Medical Director will review your prescription medications and advise what you can continue taking while in our care.

Here’s some of the things you cannot bring: any mind-altering substances including, but not limited to hairspray or gels that contain alcohol, open over-the-counter medications, firearms or weapons.
